Profile

Experience as Instructor

Throughout Eric’s developing career as instructor, he has gained various experiences through working with children and adults to achieve their potential in karate and point sparring for the past 6 years. He has had the chance to work with a wide variety of people that are very knowledgeable in this area and has been able to implement this into his own teaching. He takes pride in his work and strives to bring the most he can to his students.

Eric went on to complete the Canfitpro personal training specialist certification course, and has since helped individuals to reach their personal fitness goals in a manner that best suites each client. By having a foundation of knowledge in Karate, Hakko Den Shin Ryu Ju Jutsu, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and kick-boxing it can be integrated into fun but challenging work outs that develop functional overall fitness.

Achievements

Eric has worked hard to achieve his own personal goals within the martial arts by first receiving his black belt in Karate in June 2011 and his second degree black belt in November of 2013. He competed in WKC nationals in 2011 and 2012 qualifying in continuous and point sparring. He’s competed in a wide variety of tournaments placing high frequently in competitive divisions. Therefore, he can provide his students with the skill set required to be successful in competition.

On Going Training

There is always more that can be learned within life and the martial arts are no exception to this. Although Eric is now passing on knowledge to his students, he is aware that there is always more knowledge that can be gained and there is always room for improvement of one’s self. He is currently ranked Gokyu (green belt) in Hakko Den Shin Ryu Ju Jutsu and is a determined student under the instruction of Shihan (master rank) Paul Jewell. He has also been training since May 2014 in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has taken extra kickboxing classes. With his continuing training, he hopes to bring a more complete, well rounded experience to his students.
